Opportunities at Georgiou
Georgiou’s broad experience has enabled us to successfully tender and win projects throughout Australia, providing employment opportunities for local and Indigenous communities.
We have extensive experience working on projects in the Perth, Peel, Kimberley, Pilbara, South West and Goldfields-Esperance regions with various positions being available and more opportunities to arise in the future.
What does the Indigenous Employment Program offer?
Georgiou is committed to engaging with and employing Indigenous people in metropolitan, regional and remote areas. The Indigenous Employment program is one of our strategies aimed at achieving this goal. Georgiou’s Indigenous Employment program has been tailored for candidates with limited or no experience in the construction industry, providing the opportunity to develop the skills & knowledge needed to operate within Georgiou and the industry.
The program has a number of stages. The pre-employment program is between four and six weeks depending on business requirements and where the candidate would like to work in the long term. By completing the pre employment program candidates will get experience in a number of areas of the business including but not limited to;
- Concreting
- Pipe laying
- Roadworks
- General construction
- Plant operations
- Vehicle / plant servicing
- Scaffolding
- Precast manufacturing
- Office Administration
- Health & Safety
What happens after the program?
On successful completion of the Pre employment program and Georgiou’s recruitment process, candidates may be offered either a Traineeship, Apprenticeship or full time employment. Employment may be with Georgiou or one of our business partners.

Working with Georgiou
Candidates are supported when they commence with a ‘buddy’ to assist them getting acquainted with Georgiou. Further, the buddy works alongside the candidate to help them gain an understanding of the workings on site, the position and responsibilities, as well as being available to help with any issues that may be encountered.
