Two Perrine Pods have been constructed by Georgiou Building for the East Perth Redevelopment Authority (EPRA) in the Perth cultural precinct, adjacent to the Art Gallery of Western Australia. The two pods will be fitted out as kiosks and information centres for EPRA, and has the privilege of being placed in a location that presents a platform for introducing the public to recently developed “Perrine Pod” concept.

The erection of the pods was completed within three hours, demonstrating the speed of construction that can be achieved using this construction system. Georgiou Precast manufactured the units using coloured concrete and were able to achieve a high standard of finish.

Leading Australian architect Jean-mic Perrine developed the Perrine Pod system which incorporates a self-contained, stackable housing system available in one, two and three bedroom sizes. The Perrine Pod system delivers an environmentally friendly, energy-efficient way of life incorporating green building and sustainable design principles. Georgiou Precast has designed the innovative steel mould that enables a Perrine Pod to be cast in one piece. Using highly skilled personnel, the quality of the finished product is of the highest standard. The moulds can be turned around quickly to respond to market demands.
